The Popcorn Festival’s vendor area gives visitors a chance to discover the businesses, organizations, products and services that make up the local community, while offering vendors an opportunity to connect with thousands of festivalgoers.

Entertainment will once again take center stage at this year’s Popcorn Festival on Sept. 12, with live music giving festivalgoers another reason to look forward to the annual celebration.

A favorite among attendees, the Popcorn Festival parade will return this year with the floats, candy and popcorn that have become familiar traditions — along with a few surprises along the route.

Before settling in for popcorn and festival fun, several runners will be working up an appetite at the annual Popcorn Panic 5-mile and 5K races.

When the Popcorn Festival festivities call for a little downtime, the Valparaiso Rotary Library Garden may be just the place to head to for peace, rest and to recharge before diving back into the fun.

Community events may bring people together, but they often wouldn’t happen without the local businesses and organizations willing to support them.

For 47 years, the Popcorn Festival has been a beloved Valparaiso tradition, drawing tens of thousands of people downtown for a day of food, entertainment and community.
